Getting an Italian tax code is a crucial step for all international students who have been assigned a room in one of our buildings.

What

The tax code is a unique combination of letters and numbers used to identify you for tax and administrative purposes. If you are an international student whose official residence is abroad, you must have it to live in Italy and access the Italian university system. The Italian tax code is issued exclusively by the Agenzia delle Entrate. You must request it as soon as you arrive in Italy as it is mandatory to complete the contract registration procedure.

How

EU and non-EU foreign citizens applying for their first Italian tax identification number (codice fiscale) must book an in-person appointment at the office. Applicants must go to the counter in person so that their identity can be verified.

The dedicated office in Cesena is just a 5-minutes walk away from our AMALFI59 building, in Via Riccardo Brusi 231, 47521, Cesena.

For more information please see the official Agenzia delle Entrate page on this matter.
