The new university student residence located in Via Amalfi 59, just a short walk from the Cesena university campus, was created to offer students a modern, welcoming and functional environment, designed to support study, social interaction and the well-being of the academic community.
The facility has been designed to meet the needs of contemporary university life, providing comfortable living spaces, common areas dedicated to study and collaboration, and shared services that promote inclusion, sustainability and quality of life. The student residence represents not only a place to live, but also a space for growth and interaction, encouraging cultural exchange and the development of a true student community.
The project was developed with the aim of expanding the availability of student accommodation, particularly for students coming from outside the area, supporting the right to education through accessible housing solutions, and strengthening the attractiveness of the local university system at both national and international levels. Among the expected outcomes were an increase in available beds, an improvement in the quality of residential services, and the promotion of modern and energy-efficient housing models.
Thanks to the completion of the project, the student residence now offers high-quality living spaces and environments designed for study and community life, making a concrete contribution to improving the availability of university accommodation and enhancing the local area. The implementation of the project was also made possible thanks to the financial support of the European Union, which played a key role in the development of the initiative by promoting the creation of a modern, sustainable infrastructure aimed at strengthening the right to education.
Seven independent housing units
The project is designed to accommodate seven independent housing units conceived as self-contained microcosms: the entrance is located on the ground floor, while the upper floor, accessible via a shared staircase or elevator, hosts the residential units.
Each unit is a small, autonomous apartment designed to offer privacy and comfort without giving up shared living. These are not simply rooms, but complete spaces where everyday life can unfold naturally and smoothly. Accessible accommodation for people with motor disabilities is available.
The common area
The common area represents the heart of each unit: a single space integrating kitchen, dining, and living areas. Here, space becomes a place for meeting, informal study, conversation, and relaxation. It is the environment where relationships are built and moments are shared, encouraging spontaneous and natural social interaction.
Each unit is equipped with:
Kitchen equipment: plates, glasses, pans and pots, cutlery, ladle, trivets, oven mitts, cutting boards.
Cleaning supplies: bucket, broom, scrubbing brush, dustpan.
Sleeping area: mattress and pillow.
Single and double rooms
The different accommodation options (single rooms, double rooms, and one independent studio apartment with private kitchen and bathroom) are designed as quiet and protected spaces, suitable for both focused study and rest.
Attention to comfort, natural light, and furniture layout contributes to creating balanced environments where students can feel at home.
Rooms are provided furnished. Accessories, decorative items, and bed linen shown in the photos are not included.
The living/kitchen area
and the private facilities.
Each unit is completed with private facilities, including a bathroom with shower and a dedicated laundry room. This design choice eliminates the need for shared service areas, ensuring greater autonomy, hygiene, and living quality, and providing students with an authentic and independent domestic dimension.
Accessories, decorative items, and bed linen shown in the photos are not included.
