If you are an <strong>international student whose official residence is abroad<\/strong>, you must have it to live in Italy and access the Italian university system. The Italian tax code is issued exclusively by the <strong>Agenzia delle Entrate<\/strong>. You must request it as soon as you arrive in Italy as it is mandatory to complete the contract registration procedure.<\/p>\n<h3>How<\/h3>\n<p>EU and non-EU foreign citizens applying for <strong>their first Italian tax identification number (codice fiscale)<\/strong> must book an <a href=\"https:\/\/prenotazioneweb.agenziaentrate.gov.it\/PrenotazioneWeb\/prenotazione.action?gruppoServizi=IDEN\"><strong>in-person appointment at the office<\/strong><\/a>.
